Day 4 finds us in the Porto train station at 8:20 a.m. to catch the suburban train to Guimarães, a city of medieval origin, dating back to the 10th century. Its historic center was classified as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in December 2001.

Medieval history is vast, and I’m sure the castle offered a unique vantage point. You stood in the perfect place to shoot an arrow…now it’s time for longbow training!

Yes, I need to shoot better! So sad that I’m not as straight shooting as I should or could be. By the time I get a decent camera (and lessons), I’ll be rocking in a chair.
