She inhales, deeply. Then coughs. A lot. Her eyes almost pop out. Slowly, she feels the effects. She inhales again, knowing another bout of coughing is inevitable. But the sweet pain shooting through her lungs is worth it for she’s sensing herself relaxing. She relishes the moment; she doesn’t have much time left. Her insides start to rebel, while from the outside her body becomes more still. What a sensation. So, this is death by smog.

The Watcher in the Wall by Owen Laukkanen (a book review)

This is the fifth of a book series that features FBI Agent, Carla Windermere, who earned the nickname, Super Cop, because of her arrest record, among other reasons. She’s teamed up with Kirk Stevens, a state investigator, who at one time sat in a Minneapolis precinct in the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) division. Just Before I Go (a movie review)

I didn’t pay attention to the credits until after the movie is over; only then did I see that Courtney Cox of Friends’ fame is the director. Her former husband, David Arquette, plays a small role here as a father of five children and a husband to a woman, who temporarily loses herself with the movie’s main character, Ted Morgan, played by Seann William Scott.
