The Unique Blogger Award

I tend to be late in responding to awards, but respond I do. Back in July 2017, the thoughtful professor, writer, and novelist, Charles French, nominated me for the Unique Blogger Award. Thank you, sir. Please forgive the lengthy time lapse.

Since that time, a lot of wonderful things have happened to Charles French. Like this: He published a book series, with two novels out already – Maledicus and Gallows Hill. Congratulations!

THE RULES:

  • Share the link to the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 15 people and notify them.
  • Ask them three questions.

Instead of nominating others and asking them three questions, I invite you all to join me in answering the questions below. My own answers are in blue and bolded.

QUESTIONS:

  • What is one goal you hope to achieve with your blog? I hope to be able to get into the regular routine of writing. So much so that if I don’t write every day, I think I’ll need to eat more fiber.

  • If you could travel anywhere, with money as no issue, where would you go? Although I would have reservations (of the mental kind), I wouldn’t mind traveling to the moon and be moved speechless by the endless view of stars. That would certainly fill up my ole bucket (travel) list.

  • If you could have a conversation with a character from a work of fiction, who would it be?  What would you like to talk about? I would choose Alexis Zorba from Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis. I would talk about how to enjoy life at the fullest.

Lovefest

love

Thank you, Fitnessgrad, for the Lovely Blog Award you bestowed upon me last year in July. Excuse my tardiness, but as I’ve said before – better late than never.

Now that we’re into February, I’d like to start this month with the theme of love. As I’m wont to do, I’m changing the rules for this award where you normally tell readers about yourself. Rather than answering questions about me and nominating a select few of my fellow bloggers for the award, I’d like to turn this into a Lovefest.

I invite you to comment about something, someone, or anything you love, and leave your blog link below to give others the opportunity to fall in love with your site.

I wish you all a lovely bloggin’ time. Have a wonderful weekend!

One Lovely Blog Award

One Lovely Award

THANK YOU to Charles French for nominating me for the Lovely Blog Award over four months ago.

The Rules:
*Thank the person who nominated you, and give a link to his/her blog
*List the rules
*Display the image of the award on your post
*List seven facts about yourself (me, myself, and I):

  • I am human (I make mistakes)
  • I am woman (hear me roar)
  • I read (whenever I can)
  • I write (not the songs, the stories)
  • I work (hard for the money)
  • I eat (like a pig)
  • I sleep (like a baby)

The last rule is to nominate so many people, but I don’t really like leaving out any one and many of you are award free. Instead, I would like to tell you more about the lovely blogger who honored me with the award. Most of you probably know him by now since he’s been around the blogosphere for a while. He’s got a brand new horror book just in time for Halloween. Great looking cover too:

Quote Challenged

Thank you kindly, vcreationss, for nominating me for the Quote Challenge. Because I’ve already done this challenge, I’m doing something a little different. Three of the attributions below are fictional, while one is not. Your mission is to determine how quote challenged I am. Which one is quoted by another? The answer is at the bottom of the post.

Answer: A working stiff (who happens to be an office colleague)

You Say Liebster, I say Lobster

Belated thanks to serendipitous writer, Ellie the Old Soul, Diego, and fitness9555  for nominating me for the Liebster Award. Since I had already been nominated before and gone through the process, I am doing something different here.

In keeping with the summer theme, I give to the four wonderful bloggers who nominated me a symbolic lobster meal.  Feast away and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Thank you all again!

Sunshine Blogger Award

“The whole idea of the Sunshine Award is that you nominate eleven bloggers who put a little sunshine in your day, who are positive, creative, and inspiring.”

Thank you for the Sunshine Blogger Award nomination, Ana, of the wonderful Ana Slanina site.

It’s nice to know that I can put a little sunshine in your day. If you don’t mind, I put a little twist to this award by not nominating the 11 bloggers one is supposed to because (a) I don’t know that many bloggers (that make me smile – just joking), (b) some already have the nomination and will likely not want to do it again (maybe?) and (d) some rules are fun to break.
