Parent to Child:
“Make your bed,
Cook your meals,
Fold your laundry,
You’re on your own now,
So . . . mom up!”

Bro’ to Bro’:
“Buy your own beer,
Ask her out,
Pay your way,
You’re a big boy,
So . . . man up!”

Jamaican to Tourist:
“Quit reading your emails,
Hold your calls,
Order a cocktail,
You’re here to chill,
So . . . yeh mon up!”

  1. Playing with words is an underrated exercise. Personally, I think more writers should challenge themselves to seek out certain similarities between words (or themes).

Oh! The mummy article was finally published. I apologize for the absurdly long delay. Thanks for sharing your photographs! Your images made the article much more interesting.
