Stuck

Stubborn Sally persists in pouting her smiling lips and continues taking selfies. She parties hard although she doesn’t work as hard. She likes it soft and simple. Nothing wrong with that, but she lets her student debt get in the way of other people, namely Mr. and Mrs. Sally’s parents.

They don’t mind though because they love their daughter so. Nothing wrong with that, but they wouldn’t let her grow.

Sally sails through life, seeing many of her friends marry and carry babies and mortgages. They push carriages as their exercise, while single Sally does Pilates in a studio full of mesomorphs, some ectomorphs, and an endomorph.

Yet, she refuses to morph out of her comfortable cocoon with her doting parents still orbiting her universe.

One day Sally wakes up and looks in the mirror. Her face is lined. She suddenly realizes if asked to write her obit, she couldn’t think of even one line.
