Hump Day

Middle of the week,
Thinking ‘bout my travels to
Egypt and Jordan . . .

Hmph Day

Today is hump day.
Though half the week is over,
Still the same routine.

A working stiff’s wail,
Ev’ry day is a hmph day
Except for Friday.

You drink too quickly,
Then you bellow and whine so;
Such waste of fine wine.
