Due to current events
Regarding tyrannous actions
From those of Putin,
One can wish he meets the same fate as Rasputin,
With the help of an assassin;
Makes for a good plot for a spin
That becomes a bestselling nonfiction.
Couldn’t help for this piece to take a sinister turn;
Too much blood has been shed in Ukraine as it burns.
History ignored once again.

Tasked
To be masked
And get vaxxed.
Patience tested,
Feeling stressed
To avoid areas congested.
What a pain,
But a shame
To complain.
For this one day
Best to pray
With only good things to say.
The end of year
Is near,
So with a big cheer –
Merry Christmas to all,
Have a grand ball!
Hot Dogging with Beans
Dinner on the cheap,
Wieners, pinto, kidney beans,
Add barbecue sauce.
Nothing fancy here,
Just basic down home cooking,
In a crockpot too.
Sometimes life is good,
When you don’t overthink food,
Just feel gratitude.
Corner Lot
Prime real estate,
Low traffic site,
Ideal for a retreat.
A mid-day respite
In a fine carpeted lot,
Around the corner to the right.
Curled up tight,
Looking like a fur-weaved mat,
Lays Antoine, the tuxedo cat.
“Sunny Side-Up” Pancakes
Pineapple centered,
Egg yolk impersonation;
Makes the day sunny.

Every year goes by,
Period of reflection,
Culminates in peace.
Cow Cuddle
Cry you a puddle,
Limited human huddle,
So you cow cuddle.

Right for Covid spring.
